Author, aerospace engineer and philosopher-at-heart

Hi! I’m an aerospace engineer and energy efficiency nerd during the week, a wannabe singer and a children’s author on the weekend. Raised in Karachi, Pakistan, I studied in Cambridge, MA, lived in NYC and Abu Dhabi, and did grad school in Zürich, Switzerland. After living on three continents, I consider myself a Karachiite, a Bostonian, a New Yorker, a Bombaywali, and a Zürcherin.

Now I’m back in Pakistan, taking care of my elderly parents, running my engineering consultancy, and dreaming of the days when the three children’s books running around in my head will become animated movies that kids watch again and again to drive their parents crazy.

I love love love watching cartoons. As a student, I loved watching Powerpuff Girls, Jackie Chan Adventures and Johnny Bravo on Saturday mornings. My favourite animated franchises of all time are “Kung Fu Panda”, “How to Train a Dragon”, “Tangled” and the standalone “Kubo and the Two Strings”.
